Fond du Lac Food Resources List

*NOTE: The Resource List is at the end of this article.

As Life Enforcement looked to meet the needs of several hungry individuals and families, we actually found out something incredible.

The city and county of Fond du Lac actually has a variety of food resources available for those in need!

Life Enforcement looked to bring awareness to the fact that there were so many families that were hungry in our community. And to do so we put on events to shine a light on this issue. Inclusive of our 2014 Friends & Family Christmas Dinner, where we invited several deserving people for a free formal Christmas Dinner. As well as Life Enforcement’s Random Groceries TCO’d Lottery where we took a coach bus to three grocery stores and spent 2 hours paying for up to $50 worth of random individual’s groceries.

However, as we brought awareness to this issue and researched it more, we found that there was just an overwhelming amount of Food Pantries and Food Resources in this community. In fact, we learned that there were well over 500 families that went to these Food Pantries per week to feed themselves. Wow, our community is hungry.

So at that point, our mission changed. Our mission, in terms of this issue, was to make the community aware of the resources available and shine a light on the great work that is being done by the established Food Pantries of Fond du Lac.

Life Enforcement had already been moved to host a county wide Food Drive at the Fond du Lac Walleye Weekend Celebration. But now we were moved to find a Food Pantry to donate HALF of our collected food to. And we are proud to have meet with and learned so much from St. Paul’s Cathedral’s Broken Bread & Fondy Food Pantry. We even asked that Life Enforcement supporters volunteer for that organization.

And with that being said, Life Enforcement has been inspired to make a comprehensive list of available Food Pantries and their requirements, locations and times.

So at this time, Life Enforcement would like to thank those established Food Pantries for what they do, while also providing an accessible resources list for the community.
